Hello, I'm Leah, the creator of the plushie ghouls!

If you don't know yet, the plushie ghouls are handmade plushies with unique personalities that are also reflected in their appearance. My mission with this plushie line is to remind adults that it's okay to be kids- a mission that is important in such a fast-paced and serious world. The personalities of the plushies are based upon parts of myself, others I love, those I wish to exist, and those who I feel deserve more representation.

As a social worker, I believe that plushies can provide a level of comfort to adults, as they can children, in times of distress. This past year has shown us that sometimes we must cope in unconventional ways. My hope is that you find comfort in my plushies, whether it's the feel of their fabric, gently fiddling with their buttons, relating to their personality, or giving them a big ole hug!

My name is Leah, and I'm an artist local to New Jersey!

I love experimenting and expanding my medium by adding natural elements such as animal skulls and bones, pressed flowers, and crystals. I also incorporate other elements such as lace, glitter, epoxy resin, and clay to create new dimension and textures in my work.

I'm continually finding new influences to motivate my work. As of recent the combination of “cute and creepy” inspires my work, pushing the boundaries of femininity and odder aspects into her work. I'm also influenced by nature, relationships with her loved ones, aswell as media and musical talents-notably My Chemical Romance- fueling some of my darker pieces.
